AGrid List View Groups allow you to combine multiple AGrid configurations into one, making it suitable for organizing and managing related List Views.

Configuration Group Section Details

  • Title: Provide a user-friendly title for the Configuration Group List view. 

  • Name: Assign a unique name for the configuration, referencing it in the Lightning App Builder.

  • Description: Add a meaningful description for better understanding.

Configuration Group - How to create

Upon creation of a Configuration Group, you will need to click “Add Configuration”. Upon creating a new Configuration Group, you will find the following fields: 

  • Configuration Name: Select the configuration from the available options.

  • Label: Provide a display name for the Related Configuration.  

  • Use As: Choose to display the configuration as a List, Related List, or Intelligent Related List.

  • Display As: opt for a view type, such as Table view or Card view.

  • Hide Header: Use the Checkbox to hide the list view header on the end-user side.

  • Hide Selection: Allows admins to hide the selection checkbox in related configurations.

  • Who Sees this Configuration? Set the visibility of the configuration.

Setting Visibility

Configurations within a group can be shared with specific audiences. Admins can set visibility to:

  • Only to me

  • All users
    a. All Internal Users
    b. All External Users
    c. Both (Internal and External Users)

  • Share list with groups of users – includes Individual users, user groups, roles & subordinates, Profiles, Permission Set and even Permission Set Groups. 

This flexibility ensures that the right users have access to the intended configurations.

Preview Feature

The Preview feature in AGrid Configuration Groups provides administrators with the ability to instantly evaluate how their group configurations will appear and function within the list view. This real-time preview streamlines the setup process by allowing changes to be reviewed without leaving the configuration settings. 

  • Real-Time Reflection: Any modifications made during the preview are instantly visible, helping admins understand their impact on the data and layout. 

  • Limitation: While this feature enables visualization of actions, it does not support executing them within the preview environment. 

Utilizing the Preview Feature 

The following options are available within the Preview window: 

  • Object: A comprehensive list of reference fields associated with the related configuration is displayed for selection. 

  • Parent Record: Allows administrators to select a specific parent record for the chosen object, if applicable. 

  • View Type: Offers the flexibility to enforce the group list view as one of the following: 

  • Tab View: Organized with tabs for clear segmentation. 

  • Accordion View: Expands and collapses sections for a structured view. 

  • Dropdown View: Displays options in a dropdown format for compactness. 

  • Hide Header: Toggle this option to hide the list view header in the end-user interface.

How to Create a Configuration Group

Follow these straightforward steps to set up Configuration Groups in AGrid:

  • Create Configurations:
    a. Develop individual configurations according to your needs.

  • Create a Configuration Group:
    a. Navigate to the Configuration Groups tab.
    b. Click "New," providing a name and title for the group. Save your configuration group.

  • Add Configurations to Group:
    a. In the Configuration Group, click "Add Configuration."
    b. Select the Configuration Name, enter a label, and set up configuration details. Save your changes.

  • Preview Configuration Groups:
    a. You can use the “Preview” button on the top right corner to preview the Configuration Groups before adding them to the Lightning page or record detail page.

Add Configuration Groups to Lightning Page 

Salesforce admin must add the “AGrid List View Group” component in any lightning page (Record Lightning Page, Lightning App Page, Record Lightning Page for Communities, Custom Lightning Page for Communities) to make it available for end-users.

  1. Navigate to the Lightning App builder page where you want to add the AGrid list view, Group.

  2. Drag and drop “AGrid List View Group” from the available components.

  3. Select the Configuration Group Name from the Configuration.

  4. Select view type as Tab, Accordion, or Dropdown.

  5. Mark Hide Header to true to hide AGrid List View Group Header.
