Using Media Manager in Salesforce Communities
Media Manager can be used in Salesforce Communities. The Salesforce Admin can add the Media Manager component to the Community. It can be used in any page in the community including home or record detail pages.
1 | Parent ID | The Parent ID by default is the {!recordId} to display the slider on a record detail page in Salesforce Communities |
2 | Height | Specify the height of the Media Manager section. The default height is 400 px |
3 | Source | Choose if it is a File/Attachment/Both |
4 | File Type | Provide the file type Image/Audio/Video/Text/PDF. If the field is left blank, it accepts all the mentioned file types. |
5 | Default View | Specify the default view (Slider View/List View/Tile View) |
6 | Slider | Allow user to view in Slider |
7 | List View | Allow user to view in List View |
8 | Tile View | Allow user to view in Tile View |
9 | Order By | Choose to order by last modified date or created date |
10 | Sort Order | Choose to order the files/attachments in ascending/descending order |
11 | Background Color | Choose a background color |
12 | Allow Full Screen | Allow to display the files on a Fullscreen |
13 | Get Files from Email Attachments | Enabling this feature decides whether to show files and attachments from Emails. This is applicable only to Case Object where cases are created by Customer Service Request Emails |
Media Manager does not show any preview on Salesforce Communities. The Community has to be published to show the Media Manger component on Communities.
