Columns
Columns represent media-related fields displayed vertically to form a list view. They are specifically designed for the "List View" display mode.
Columns Section Details
Display Order: Specify the order number to arrange columns in the Media Manager list view.
Field Name: When adding a column, administrators can now select from two primary field sources, with Media Manager further divided into two sub-options:
Files: Standard file-related metadata fields such as Name, File Type, Last Modified Date.
Media Manager: Custom Media Manager metadata fields, divided into:
Related Object: Groups files based on the Salesforce object type they belong to (e.g., Accounts, Contacts, Cases).
Related Record: Groups files based on the specific record they are attached to (e.g., a particular Account or Case).
Display Label: Automatically generated based on the field name provided. Admin users can customize this label to suit their preview requirements.
Delete (Icon): Removes the specific column from the configuration. Use the "Save" button to retain column changes or the "Cancel" button to discard them.
Allow Group By: Checkbox allowing administrators to specify which fields can be used for grouping in List and Tile views.
Note:
To enable Group By, ensure that at least one column has "Allow Group By" checked.
The “Allow Group By” column will be disabled for fields that does not support Group By.
Editable: Enables inline editing of the column value directly within the Media Manager List View. This option is available for supported fields under Media Manager and Files. Fields marked as editable will show a pencil icon in the list, allowing in-place edits without modal pop-ups.
NOTES:
Columns marked as Editable allow users to update metadata directly in the List View using inline editing. This helps save time by eliminating the need to open modals or navigate away from the page.
Bulk Edit is supported—multiple rows can be selected, and field values can be updated in a single operation.
Inline edits trigger validations, and if invalid data is entered, the system shows real-time error messages inline.
While in inline edit mode, other conflicting actions (like Delete or Share) are restricted to prevent data conflicts.
Editable fields are visually represented by a pencil icon beside the field value.

Media Manager administrators can configure columns for the list view. Here's how:
Click on the Columns tab.
Click on the Edit button and click the “Add Columns”.
Enter the Display Order.
Select the Field Name from the listed Options
Enter the Display Label.
If needed, enable Allow Group By and/or disable Editable, depending on whether the column should allow grouping or prevent inline editing.
Click the Save button in the Columns section.
Note: Under the "File Tree" tab, you can set up access to files across various objects, including configuring specific fields. Remember, the "Columns" tab is solely for managing media-related fields.
