Views: Tile, List, Slider (how they differ)

Views determine how files appear and which tasks are fastest. Admins set a default per configuration; users can switch views when allowed. Slider supports a large preview with navigation (including mobile zoom behavior), List supports columns/filters/bulk selection, and Tile provides a compact visual grid.  

Tile view 

Tile presents visual cards that help users scan images quickly. Hover and row actions make common decisions fast in a compact space. It pairs well with grouping by File Type or visual curation in folders.  

List view 

List provides rows with columns, sorting, filtering, and inline edits where permitted. It is the operational workhorse for bulk selection and list actions (download/delete/other configured actions). Grouping in List shows expandable sections by the selected field.  

Slider view 

Slider offers large previews with arrow navigation and optional mobile zoom. It’s ideal for presentations, deep review, and walking stakeholders through files. (Note: some folder actions are not available from Slider.) This view also includes pagination, allowing quick jumps from the first file to the last. 

Considerations 

If an action is missing in a given view, it may be view-specific or disabled in configuration. Try switching views (especially to List) or check with your admin about enabled actions.
