Actions

Launch Flow in Larger Window

Lightning screen flows launched from AGrid (row actions, list actions) are launched at the size of a 90% window. Previously, it was smaller and forced vertical and horizontal scrolls for end users.

Parent Variable Support

The AGrid list view actions now support the "parentId" and the "parentFieldName" variable. These variable names are case sensitive.

  • Currently, this functionality is limited to record detail pages and list-actions.

    • Usage Behaviour

  • If no rows are chosen, parentId variables will be passed

  • If one or more lines are chosen, the parentId and record IDs variable are passed

ACTION REQUIRED: Update existing Flows used in AGrid custom actions to support these variables. If you ignore this step, an error is triggered when the flow is launched in AGrid.

Preferences

Managed Preferences

Admin can create and manage preferences from AGrid configuration. Earlier, this functionality was limited to end-users. This feature is useful for administrators to create default filters and enable it for all or selected groups of internal and community users.

Display Label Only in Preference

The administrator can disable the display of the API name on the preference screen by turning on "Show Field Label Only" in the AGrid configuration.

Disable Preferences

Admin can disable preference for end-users. However, any managed preference admin created from configuration screen will be available for end-users for selection and pinning only.

Inline Editing

Rich Text Area field support

Inline Editing support to the Rich Text Area field is GA now. You can add any rich text area field to the AGrid configuration and enable inline editing. End-users should click on pencil tip and start editing values in familiar rich-text editor.

Limitation

  1. No support for Mobile and iPad view

  2. No support for card view in Desktop

Record Type based Picklist value

To improve data integrity, picklists and multi-picklist values are rendered based on record type. Also, the administrator can disable the bulk inline edit for record type activated objects by selecting "Disable Bulk Edit" in AGrid Column configuration.

Export

Disable columns in Export

To exclude any specific column from export, admin can enable "Exclude from Export" at Column Configuration level.

User Experience

View support for Rich Text Area fields

The view support for the Rich Text Area field is GA now. End users should click on view icons in cells in rich text areas and view the fully format rich text content.

Bug Fixes

  1. When exporting, name value should be exported for lookup and master-detail field.

  2. AGrid list view preview in Flow debug mode.

  3. When the encrypted field is empty, the eye icon is visible

  4. Operator and actions dropdown list are not rendered within the component

  5. When the list view is at a minimum height in the mobile interface, the preference filter has scroll problem

  6. Unhandled error message: if expected, AGrid action variable is not found in the flow

  7. When the AGrid component launches from Flow, Flow module closes after performing new record creation or editing.
